In March 2019 two of Ekom’s members embarked on a charity trip to India. Three eye camps were held in poor rural locations and close to 300 cataract operations were fully funded by Ekom as well as free issue of medication and spectacles. Ekom also fully funded 65 prosthetic limbs and provided funding for free issue of hearing aids, wheel chairs, tricycle and crutches, circa 8 polio correction surgery was also provided by ekom.  Ekom’s volunteers fully fund their own expenses during each charity trip. One of Ekom’s member also went to Nepal during October to set up camps in school in collaboration with Tilganga Institute of ophthalmology to carry out general health screening  (ENT) and eye check up.
