For the first time, EKOM team embarked on a project in Africa. We worked with Lions Club Mwanza Victoria to organise two eye camps, provide aid to the local leprosy community and the local Albino community- who are being hunted for witchcraft in Tanzania. We raised funding through our usual means and one of our team members climbed Mount Killimanjaro and raised £1000 for EKOM. Well over 100 cataract operations performed, many treated for eye related problems. Provided aid in the form medication, blankets, linen, food, etc to the communities mentioned earlier.
