This year in Feb 2018, two of Ekom’s trustees embarked on Charity trip to India and Nepal.  Pre-assessment was done in 13 villages with overall footfall of approximately 3000 people. People requiring Cataract operations were selected during this operation and given dates to attend hospital for the treatment. Approximately 350 Cataract operations were fully funded by Ekom in India and Nepal plus free issue of medication, specs, refreshment during the pre-assessment period and operation.  Circa 70 prosthetic limbs plus wheel chairs, hearing aids, crutches, 12 polio correction surgeries etc. were also fully funded by Ekom during this visit. Total cost of projects was close to £19.5K. Part of this funding (£7K) came from euroclear sponsorship.
