PROJECT 2020
We are a small group with a common vision, which is to improve the mind, body and spirit of the underprivileged communities and individuals through various initiatives in developing countries. We aim to do this by carrying out projects which will include medical care for eye related problems, prosthetic limb replacement, raise road safety awareness. In February 2020, Ekom’s trustees went to India to carry out charity work in the northern state of India- Punjab. The charity fully funded circa 400 cataract operations, provide 75 prosthetic limbs an fully funded 10 polio correction surgery. Ekom works on the basis of zero operation costs, i.e. all members pay for their own travel, accommodation and other expenses. They also provide 60% contribution to the charity each year.
